I want to take a moment and talk about the character Charlie. I wanted a character that was so easy going that it seemed they would never get bothered. Then when something that made them snap happened it would mean more. It is true I have a friend whose name is Charlie and I have to admit that this character is loosely based off him and his persona. The character in the book much like my friend is easy going, accepts pretty much anyone and has a great sense of humor. I know some of you are thinking that I am a hypocrit and yes you are right, I just never realized how similar these two individuals really are to one another. They both have an affinity to animals are in a lean running type shape. You can call me a liar, but I feel the book needed someone like this, someone that most could connect with on some level. I have to say it is hard for me to pick a favorite because each one has something special, but I am sure those of you out there who have read the book can pick your own personal favorite.
